Wednesday 14th July

Gazelle ZB693 called briefly for fuel early afternoon as "Army Air 565" on the way 'home' to Northern Ireland.

Cessna 182 G-MILN arrived during the evening to nightstop. Twin Commanche G-ATNV remained parked on the main apron throughout the day.

Tuesday 13th July

Citation 550 CS-DHB arrived at J-MAX from Luton mid evening as NJE252P.

Earlier in the day, there were visits by Dove G-ARHW, Jabiru G-BZTY and King Air G-PFFN ("Hangar 81").

Monday 12th July

Netjets Europe Citation Bravo CS-DHA visited from Blackbushe and on to Kidlington first thing as NJE1251/579P.

Cessna 303 N6VQ called in at Westair, arriving at midday for a five hour stay before departing to the north.

Sunday 11th July

Latvian Hawker 800XP YL-MAR arrived unexpectedly shortly after midday to park on the J-MAX apron for a three hour stay from/to Biggin Hill.

Saturday 10th July

Cessna 182 G-IATU called in for fuel during the afternoon, as did the returning Tipsy Nipper G-AVKK.

Hawk pair "Jasper" (=XX313 & XX314) touched down early evening along with Jaguar XZ392 ("Colt 94").

Friday 9th July

Cessna 182 G-EEZS became a new Blackpool Air Centre resident on 30/6/04 and was noted outside the hangar during the day. The aircraft had been repaired at Westair after a landing incident last year.

Thursday 8th July

After five months of open storage, ATP G-JEMD (the former S2-ACX) departed to Baneasa, Bucharest mid evening as JEM007E for a freight door conversion.

Wednesday 7th July

Scotia Puma G-PUMD visited from Aberdeen during the day to operate numerous flights offshore as "Helibus 39B".

Tuesday 6th July

Robinson 22 G-CCVU departed to the East Coast early evening after an overnight stay with Heli 2000.

PA34 G-BBXK daystopped on the main apron, visiting as "Poyston 03".

Robinson 22 G-CCVU arrived mid afternoon to join G-OLIZ inside the Heli 2000 hangar.

Sunday 4th July

Challenger HB-IVV arrived from Manchester mid afternoon for a two hour stay on the main apron

Agusta 109 G-ESLH called for fuel earlier in the day, touching down at midday as "Catfish 109H".

Saturday 3rd July

EI-CJG operated FR2752/2753 from/to Stansted for the ninth consecutive rotation (and final time?) during the morning. Boeing 737-200s are expected to be replaced by 737-300s from Monday 5th July until the end of the summer schedule.

GA movements of note during a breezy day were limited to Robin G-PACE (main apron) and Bulldog G-BZON/XX528 to ANT.

An unsuccessful attempt was made to move HS748 "ZS-ODJ" under its own steam for ground engine runs during the evening, after the aircraft encountered a hydraulic fault.

Friday 2nd July

Star Line Dornier 328JET N328PT touched unexpectedly down from Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany shortly after midday, becoming a first visit of type. After a two hour stay on the main apron the aircraft departed to Bolzano, Italy with freight.

Austrian Air Force C130 Hercules 8T-CC trained on the ILS during the afternoon as "Bull 01". The aircraft is no stranger to Blackpool having previously served with the RAF as XV292.

Cessna 182 G-EEZS became a new Blackpool Air Centre resident on 30/6/04 and was noted outside the hangar during the day on 9/7.

ATP G-JEMB returned wearing the new livery on 25/6. Both 'Biman' ATPs now carry UK registrations G-JEMD (S2-ACX) and G-JEME (S2-ACY). G-JEMD departed to Bucharest on 8/7.

PAC 750XL arrives at Pool

The North West Parachute Centre at Cark recently acquired a PAC 750XL aircraft and, after a very long ferry flight from New Zealand to Cumbria, the aircraft, ZK-KAY (C/n 107) finally touched down at Blackpool from Brindisi on Thursday 24th June at 18:15L for initial attention at Pool Aviation. Departed 2/7.
